It depends on which product you've ordered.
Flowerbox
The delivery driver leaves the Flowerbox in a safe spot if nobody answers – outside the door or in the stairwell, and some also leave it outside the entrance or by the mailbox.
If the flowers can't be left safely, they're taken back to the courier's terminal.
- Airmee and Gordon Delivery make another delivery attempt on the next possible delivery day. If that fails too, the order is canceled without a refund.
- Bring, MoveByBike and Early Bird only make one delivery attempt and leave the flowers at the mailbox or the door. Get in touch if the delivery hasn't arrived.
Florist bouquet
The florist tries to reach the recipient by phone or text message. If that doesn't work, the bouquet is taken back to the shop and the recipient is told they can collect it there. Many florists hold off on the delivery until they've heard back from the recipient, to avoid the bouquet wilting if the recipient isn't home.
Flowers are perishable, so we can't guarantee how long they'll last if the bouquet is collected several days after the delivery attempt.
How to reduce the risk
- Give the entry code in the "Information to florist" field
- Check that the recipient's phone number is correct
- Ask the florist to call the recipient before delivery, if you're not sure they'll be home
If you know the recipient may be away, a Florist bouquet is a safer choice than a Flowerbox, since the florist can call ahead and agree on the delivery.
My order was returned – what happens now?
Follow the status on our tracking page. Deliveries that failed because of incorrect details, or because the recipient wasn't available, aren't refunded.
If you're unsure about the next step, get in touch with your order number.
