It depends on the product and on the recipient.
Flowerbox: no
Flowerboxes can't be delivered to hospitals, churches, care homes, assisted living facilities, schools or hotels.
Florist bouquet: usually yes
A local florist can deliver to hospitals and care homes, provided the recipient is allowed to receive flowers.
Check first that flowers are allowed
Not all wards accept flowers. Some hospital wards don't allow them at all, for hygiene reasons for instance. Check with the ward before you order, so the flowers don't arrive for nothing.
State where the recipient is
Write the following in the "Information to florist" field:
- Ward
- Entrance or building
- Floor or room number
A large hospital site can consist of many buildings, and the florist isn't in a position to go searching. Without clear details the delivery risks failing.
Delivery times
Deliveries to institutions take place during office hours on weekdays. The flowers are often received at the reception desk or by staff, not by the recipient themselves.
