When you order flowers for a funeral, your order is sent to a local florist in the area. The florist arranges the piece by hand and delivers it to the ceremony venue.
Order at least three working days in advance
For the florist to have time to arrange and deliver the piece, we need your order at least three working days before the ceremony. We can't guarantee dates closer than that.
Funeral arrangements are often larger and more detailed than an ordinary bouquet, and ribbons need to be written and prepared. That's why the florist needs more notice.
Details about the funeral
At checkout you fill in the details of the ceremony: date, delivery time, the deceased's first and last name, the place of the funeral, and a phone number the florist can reach at the delivery. After that you enter the delivery address.
The deceased's name is needed so that the florist and the staff on site know which ceremony the arrangement belongs to.
The phone number can be your own, the church's or the funeral home's – what matters is that someone answers if the florist needs to get in touch at the delivery.
Delivery to a church or chapel
The flowers are delivered to the address you've given, usually a church, a chapel or another ceremony venue. The florist delivers at least an hour before the ceremony, so there's time for the arrangement to be put in the right place. It's the church staff who place the arrangement.
Before you pay
Read the order through one extra time. Check the date, time and address in particular – and that names and any ribbon text are spelled correctly.
